#imajinspires: Hope for Life

Imaji Studio

"Nature is not a place to visit but it's a home"

Many can't grasp the concept of fighting for their homes when living their busy lives in the urban jungle. The Elephant Flying Squad from Sumatra has taken care of countless elephants and protected their habitat from deforestation and pollution. We are here to celebrate humanity evolving into something greater, love. We collaborated with Taman Hayat to create a unique installation imitating the rainforest of Sumatra, home of the elephants.

IMAJI Studio at Tengah

Imaji Studio

Like every fabric studio, we are excited to experiment on ways to create more diverse products without losing our brand's identity. Tengah by STBD is a co-living space in the heart of Central Jakarta that has offered us an opportunity to get our hands of home & living accessories. Through this platform we decided to take on home accessories mainly focusing on our fabric waste and new handwoven fibers from water hyacinth to banana leaves mixed with cotton. Imaji Studio

"From farm to closet"   BUAISOU was founded in 2012 to succeed the tradition of Japanese indigo farming and dyeing. They not only farm and grow Persicaria Tinctoria, which is the plant used to make the Japanese indigo dye, but they also have also expanded to create a fermentation facility where they host dyeing workshops in Tokushima, Japan.  Indonesia has a lot of history with indigo dyeing too but the plant we use are different from Japan's. Our plant species called Indigofera Tinctoria are native to tropical climates. This plant is also used to create the color blue in all IMAJI...
