We believe in the process and we figured that we want to try something new for our exciting upcoming collaboration with Ottoman Coffee. We will be launching our collaboration pieces in mid October on the cafe's grand opening in Cilandak, Jakarta. Here, we want to take you through our process in creating the motifs for our collaboration.
Lyris and I tried our hands on the marbling technique with oil paint on paper. We had trouble the first two (or maybe 5) tries but hey it was all worth it! With handmade motifs, there can be no wrong or right answers, sometimes all you can do is try, try, and try until you are satisfied with the result.
We can't wait to translate this design unto fabric. Stay tuned it's coming real soon!
